The horse show grounds that make up the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center as home to the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival 2009 and other show horse events was acquired by Wellington Equestrian Partners, LLC in September, 2007 for $55 million.

Two adjacent properties were bought by WEP to create a top international equestrian destination on about 140 acres in the Village of Wellington in South Florida’s Palm Beach County.

The two properties that are being rebuilt from the ground up are:

The Stadium that was the original Palm Beach Polo grounds where Britain’s Prince Charles played to set Wellington on course to become a world class equestrian competition destination. The Stadium is being refurbished and new all-weather footing, spectator seating, galleries of shops and floodlights built to showcase high performance dressage, jumping and show hunters on the 57-acre site.

The Show Grounds covering well over 80 acres will host the complete range of jumping, children’s, juniors and young rider class and show hunters competitions for both professionals and amateurs in several arenas. In addition to a re-design and upgrade of the facilities that has been home to the WEF for a quarter century, outdoor cafes, extensive landscaping and infrastructure improvements are already under way.
