Did Hurricane Irma Impact the Wellington Real Estate Market? On paper it looks like Hurricane Irma negatively impacted the Wellington real estate market because home sales dropped 34% from August to September, but historically a drop in home sales from August to September is pretty common.

However Irma did delay several home closings in September due to financing, repairs and re-inspections needing to be made. Although the real estate market in Wellington already shifted from a Seller’s Market to a Stable Market back in 2016, so Wellington currently being a “STABLE MARKET” is not something Irma caused.

Overall Irma didn’t impact the Wellington Florida real estate market much. There are still price points experiencing a seller’s market and some seller’s are receiving multiple offers while other price points are having a tough time selling.
