We recently went on a (Facebook) hunt for the best Chinese food in Wellington. We were actually pretty surprised to see how opinionated our Facebook fans were on the topic. Here’s a rundown of what our fans had to say.
Since we had at least some votes for China Tokyo, we decided to head over to check it out. Well, to be honest, it’s our own local favorite mostly because it was my first job in high school about 17 years ago.
If there’s one thing you can say for sure about China Tokyo, it’s that the place is consistent. While management has changed a couple times, I don’t think the decor or recipes have changed (much) since they opened about 17 years ago. This is a good thing because I’ve always thought that the food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable.
